I had completed my Bachelors in Catering Technology and Culinary Arts- Osmania University (Hyderabad) 2001. Diploma in Hospitality Management (Commercial Cookery) - Melbourne – 2009. Certificate III & IV in commercial cookery- Melbourne – 2008. My Total work experience in five star hotels, catering companies, restaurants from last 18 years. I had worked in different Hotels,like Taj Krishna Hyderabad luxury hotel, Radison New Delhi, Holiday Inn Surat, at different levels. Worked as a 2nd chef in the catering company in Australia. And also worked as a department head in the retails sector where as egg-less products are made. And also worked as a faculty and principal in different hotel Management College, Our students are the reason we are here and their education is our mission. We accomplish this mission through commitment, dedication and experience. Progress of an Institute depends mainly on performance of the students in academics, sports and cultural activities along with maintaining high values and ethics. I am Proud to say that our students are doing excellent in academics, sports and cultural activities with high values and ethics.

Dr. G. Vijayalakshmi
PRINCIPAL

Dr. G. Vijayalakshmi graduated and post-graduated from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam with Life Sciences, M. Phil. and Ph.D. in toxicology as the main area of research. She was awarded Post graduate diploma in Applied Statistics and Phytopharma Technology and was granted CSIR fellowship for accomplishing research for a period of 5 years. She has 15 years of teaching experience in GITAM University and TSR & TBK degree and PG College along with laudable academic administrative responsibilities.

Dr. Vijayalakshmi also served as Assistant Director, Centre for Food processing, GITAM University. She was instrumental in conducting numerous workshops and awareness programmes on Health & Nutrition and health benefits of millets to ICDS beneficiaries (sponsored by Dist. Collector, Visakhapatnam), school children and house wives. She was a faculty mentor for the reputable food start up “Farm to Home” started by Biotechnology and Food Science and Technology Students of GITAM University. She orchestrated and coordinated umpteen numbers of student activities and student chapters like Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and Institute of Engineers India (IEI) at department level in GITAM University. She was instrumental in driving the management of GITAM to plant and name the rare species of plants in and around the campus.

Her other commendable positions include serving as a resource person for District Resource Group (DRG) of Kishori Vikasam scheme, Visakhapatnam Dist., where training was imparted to Peer Group Trainers (PGTs) and working for Kovel Foundation, an NGO striving for Tribal welfare in the areas of Food processing & Nutrition and Health.
